Thanks to Fieldcraft’s craftsmanship, the standout feature of our renovation is our beautiful joinery. From the kitchen to the lounge cabinet to the bathroom vanities, we couldn’t be happier with the result.

Subtle mid-century design influences reveal themselves in slats, curves, colours and textures in this bungalow renovation led by Ollo Architects. With a kitchen concept and material exploration provided by interior architect Toni Brandso, we developed and fabricated the kitchen, using it as a cue to design and make an oak window seat, media bookcase and bathroom cabinetry.

In the kitchen, handless cabinetry and a curved oak island are topped with a durable stainless steel counter, while the pantry and laundry are hidden behind a swathe of green Melteca bi-fold doors with custom wooden handles. Overhead, a timber batten pelmet runs through the kitchen; a detail picked up again in the living room’s floor-to-ceiling media bookcase. The generous window seat provides a contemplative spot overlooking the garden with storage beneath. In the bathroom, a simple oak cabinet is topped in verde fusion quartzite, picking up on the green and crimson hues used throughout. The result is sleek, warm and inviting, beautifully captured in homeowner Tom Roberton’s photography.
